There is no stopping change, especially in a world that continues to move. Alteration, modification, upgrades, transformation, or whatever term you associate with change all mean that there are some things which cannot stay permanent. One case that proves this is our homes. There are times when we have to move houses. You may be the unfortunate ones that are suffering from foreclosure and will need to transfer to a cheaper house, or the really lucky ones that can afford to move to a bigger and more expensive abode.

Moving from house to house obviously needs an effective packing survival. Packing survival is crucial because you do not want to lose or leave your most important belongings like your files from work, your supplies for school, or the sentimental memorabilia like photographs and letters that you have collected throughout the years. You do not want to get stressed out looking for these things once you have settled in your new home as most of these things are not easily replaceable.

So how do you do packing survival effectively? There are tips which you can follow. First, you have to think that packing survival is not the easiest thing to do. You might be under the notion that packing survival is undemanding because your favorite celebrities always travel or move from house to house and they do not find any trouble packing. This is not true. Again, in packing survival, you have to make sure that you do not forget the most important things whether you are just traveling or moving houses. Therefore, you have to allot a great amount of time to make sure that you have everything packed. You have to plan ahead.

Second tip is to let go of all the clutter when packing survival. There are things which are very important or sentimental, while there are possessions which are just not valuable any more. You can leave these things behind or you can sell them prior to moving. You also have to understand that the more things you carry, the more you have to pay to those that will help you move. In the airport, for example, they charge additional fees if you go beyond the baggage limit.

Third tip is you have to be organized when packing survival. Make sure that you name all the boxes and to place all similar or related things together. Do not put the fragile or brittle things with things that may cause their destruction. You can organize and classify your boxes in different ways like the properties’ fragility or who the owners of those things are. You should also keep a master list. You should list in a paper all the things that a certain box contains so as to keep a check on them.

Fourth, as much as possible, carry with you all the most important possessions you have like jewelry, keys, and work documents. Do not place them in boxes because they are prone to getting lost when traveling. If you lose these boxes, you also lose the valuables that they hold.
